Vintage Design
Jindrich Halabala re-upholstered patinated bentwood lounge chairs, 1940s Czech Republic. These iconic set lounge chairs are from Czechia, circa 1940. Produced by Thonet, these lounge chairs (model H-227), designed by Jindrich Halabala, are a norm for midcentury design in Central Europe. An uncomplicated and sleek geometry contrasts the soft, comfortable seat with dynamic bentwood elements. Borrowing the terminology of modernism, Halabala created a distinctive aesthetic, passionate, streamlined, and humanistic, a social design suited for inviting and functional domestic spaces. Re-upholstered in a comfortable fabric. Like all of our upholstered pieces, these can also be newly upholstered to your wishes. We have many of these armchairs available, perfect for your interior projects, such as a restaurant or hotel.
