made 1855.
Very interesting Viennese silver pair of candlesticks of excellent manufacturing quality as well as of elegant appearance.
These candlesticks were made during Viennese late Biedermeier period. Each of them is based on round foot with scalloped edge (the base is hollow at reverse side, not filled!). All parts of candlesticks’ surface are ornamented with lines bulging the surface in decorative manner.
Finally, the tapering stalk having two areas bulging out is topped by most elegant grommet.
