A striking and very high quality French 19th century Louis XVI st. Belle Époque period Mahogany, ormolu and Arabescato marble console attributed to François Linke. The three tiered three drawer freestanding console is raised by elegant circular tapered fluted legs with fine fitted mottled ormolu sabots and beautiful foliate top caps. The bottom tier displays a mottled ormolu band at the border which frames the original fitted Arabescato marble top. The central tier also retains its original fitted Arabescato marble top framed within a most elegant pierced ormolu gallery. Four striking fluted column supports with fine ormolu reserves lead upwards connecting the tiers with each tier also retaining their original fitted mirrored backplates. Above each column is a beautiful block rosette flanking the three drawers at the frieze. The drawers are each decorated with striking intricately detailed pierced ormolu mounts with beautiful richly chased floral designs framed within a beaded and mottled band. Above is the original Arabescato marble top with a fine mottled border.
