Vintage Design
Magnificent and rare Ceasar dining room table. Design by Axel Einar Hjorth for NK Nordiska Kompaniet. Striking Swedish design from the 1920s. Original gilt birch base with hand-carved decoration. The top is original veneered with burl walnut veneer. This wonderful Ceasar dining room table by Axel Einar Hjorth for NK Nordiska Kompaniet is in very good original condition with minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina. Rare because of the fact that this Ceasar dining room table still has its two original extensions so you can enlarge the table as seen on the images! Measurements with two extensions: 391 cm or 153.94 in. Measurements of one extension: 102.5 cm or 40.35 in. The Ceasar dining room table was first shown at the Nordic Company Spring Exhibition in the year 1928 and in 1929 at the Barcelona International Exposition.
