A rare Rectangular Mid 19th Century Spice Box in Mahogany with original brass handles, from Copenhagen in Denmark. This Spice box from “Östergades Materialhandel” from the Danish capitol city of Copenhagen, is completed with 12 original hand-blown glass containers with their belonging glass lids, and the also original labels with the name of the different spices present in each bottle. In the bottom drawer there is a set of metal plate containers also for spices, the drawer opens with pulling up a brass stick from the border of the box. The original label on the inside of the lock, shows that this factory was grounded 1864 and has won different important prices in Paris, London and Stockholm.
