This antique inkwell is unsigned, but presumed to have originated from Austria and date to approximately 1920 and done in the period Black Forest style. The inkwell is composed of a soft pine which has been hand-carved and crafted to depict a seated dog. The top is hinged and opens to where the ink would be stored. Please note the glass insert is missing.
