Vintage Design
Wonderful and extremely rare Tandem Sling Airport bench by Charles & Ray Eames for Herman Miller. This bench was designed in 1962 by the US designer couple on behalf of Eero Saarinen for the first international airports. The series of seats shown was initially used for decades at Düsseldorf Airport and was then used in the waiting area of a Düsseldorf doctor’s office until the end.
The three-seater bank has a frame made of chrome-plated aluminum die casting and a removable storage table. The seats are covered with black leather. The furniture is in very good condition with traces of use that can be found in the extensive product photos. The seating comfort can also be assessed as very good.
3-seater bench dimensions:
230cm W x 82cm H x 71cm T, seat height: 41cm
