An impressive and high quality pair of French 19th century Louis XVI st. Belle Époque period white Carrara, Vert Campan marble and ormolu candelabras. Each large scale three arm candelabra is raised by four fine ormolu topie shaped feet below the square Vert Campan marble base with an elegant mottled border and decorated with beautiful fitted ormolu mounts on each side with lovely geometric circular designs. Above the square ormolu bases and beaded bands are striking socle shaped pedestals with unique stepped designs leading to the elegantly shaped bodies. The bodies are encased by ormolu palmettes with superb scrolled foliate acanthus leaf handles at each side connected by richly chased swaging vines with charming grapes. Above are the beautiful arms seemingly growing out of the top of the urns with wonderfully executed leaves, flower buds and sensational blooming flower candle cups. All original gilt throughout.
