Vintage Design
Early variant of chair No. 405 for Municipal House in Prague around 1905. Extremely rare variant of Thonet No. 405 chair by Josef Urban used for Municipal House in Prague, former Czechoslovakia / Austro Hungarian Empire upon it’s opening in 1912. Made of beech wood with a continuous leather tacked back and seat of sweeping L-shape, the legs terminating in brass sabots. In original condition with visible wear. Structurally sound.
