Vintage Design
This large, bilateral desk was made in Denmark during the 1960s. It is finished with teak wood in a warm shade of brown. It is a piece of furniture with a balanced design, where style and functionality go hand in hand. The front consist of a block of three drawers on the left and right. The turned legs are directly attached to the blocks due to brass elements. The keyholes also received a brass edge. These are small details that demonstrate the quality of materials and well-thought-out design. Additionally, there is a shelf and a lockable cabinet at the back. The top has an irregular shape, where accentuated, strong angles meet the roundness of the shorter sides. This corresponds to the rounded drawer handles well. This elegant and classic form is characteristic of Scandinavian design of the Mid-Century Modern era. The furniture will fit perfectly into many arrangements, including contemporary ones.
This desk is in original vintage condition. It has minor signs of use, wood discoloration, minor scratches and natural patina. Keys not included. The locks are complete but have not been tested.
