Vintage Design
A leather armchair and foot stool, designed by Harald Relling and made by Westnofa, a Norwegian company dedicated to the export of locally made Norwegian furniture. Westnofa represented a 1950’s collaboration of the country’s leading manufacturers who sought to give Norwegian designers a platform to grow their presence in the international mid century furniture market. The name Westnofa was derived “West Norway Factories.” Manufacturers connected to Westnofa were Møbelfabrikk, P.I. Langlo, Ekornes, Vestlandske and Stokke, designers included Ingmar Relling, Harald Relling, Torstein Nilsen and Jens Nielsen.
