This is a rare pair of oak-carved laboratory pharmacy door pediments, late 19th Century French.
Each pediment has its original green marble engraved with gilt letters “ANALYSES D’URINES” (Urine analysis) and “RECHERCHES MICROSCOPIQUES” (Microscopic Research). The pediments are highly decorative with a very elegant crest with flowers, leaves, and olive branches carving.
