Crafted from a superb mix of white veined marble and ormolu (gilt-bronze) this fine antique lamp was made in France during the Belle Époque, an exuberant and lively period of creative output and production in peacetime nineteenth century France. It comprises a cream coloured lampshade with golden tassels, a spiralling, threaded stem, a foliate tripod base with rocaille feet, and a marble, ormolu gilt, table surface circa halfway up. Grand, yet uncomplicated, lavish and yet understated, it makes a superb antique addition to any suitable interior space.
