Fantastic double sided bistro cafe metal sign from France’s La Belle Époque period. Features a lacquer finish with pierced letters reading “Montre Ponctua” or a promise to be on time. The large sign has metal mounts on the side where it was mounted to a building. The inside is wired with two light bulb sockets. The two-sided sign originally had transparent colored plastic behind the letters. The sign has a beautiful distressed and aged patina on the lacquer finish with vibrant colors. Functional piece of art and history from the cafe society in San Francisco, CA.
