A striking and most unique French 19th century Louis XVI st. Belle Époque period Kingwood, Tulipwood, ormolu and mirror gueridon side table. The circular table is raised by three elegantly curved legs with beautiful double hoof feet with large finely detailed acanthus leaves, a recessed hammered design, and each connected by a central tier with its original fitted mirror plate. Above each leg are exquisite richly chased handsome bearded satyrs with ram horns amidst intricately detailed swaging vines with etched grape leaves, grapes, and a large palmette. The beautiful fitted top displays remarkable wonderfully executed inlaid Tulipwood designs with a lovely marquetry à la Reine design at the center and most decorative circular reserves framed within a Kingwood band and a richly chased wrap around ormolu berried laurel band at the border.
