For sale a charming European late 18th, early 19th Century Georgian/Regency era oil on board portrait painting of a youthful person, possibly a scholar, believed to have been painted in circa 1820s.
The piece which is mounted in a Biedermeier style frame, has been painted on the back of what appears to have been an artist’s palette and has an inscription in pencil to the back of the frame, which reads “Mrs Keyser”. The painting is in reasonable vintage condition, commensurate with age, but absolutely nothing to detract (please see photos).
