Vintage Design
A magnificent, designer, cylindrical bureau of parquetted mahogany and satin wood, with gilded bronze finishing, made in the workshop of E. Kahn, famous since the 18th century, seller and manufacturer of models of the most luxurious lacquered furniture. He kept solons in Paris and London. The bureau is made in the style of Jean-Henri Riesener and Adam Weisweiler, on sloping legs, each of which is made in the form, tapering towards the end, of figured columns with the goddess Flora with a basket of flowers on her head. The legs are united by a woven stretcher and end in elongated clogs with spiral flutes. France circa 1880s. E. Kahn marks on bronze subframe parts. Restoration has been carried out. Width: 94 cm, depth: 57 cm, and height 112 cm.
