Very beautiful rectangular table by Roger Capron (1922-2006), a French ceramist who obtained numerous awards and now benefiting from great fame.
Passionate about ceramics, he was able to approach this technique in different ways and surrounded himself with the best craftsmen in Vallauris in order to create this furniture from the “Les Herbiers” collection.
This vintage table is designed with enameled tiles combined with garrigues tiles made by pressing plants from the south of France, which once cooked, leave a beautifully detailed carbonized imprint. The artist then sculpts each tile to obtain this impressive result of realism.

The geometry and the mixture of textures underline the creativity of the artist Roger Capron. A cachet “Capron Vallauris France” is present at the top left.
