This handsome girandole mirror dates from the late 19th century, the Belle Époque between the Franco- Prussian War and the Great War. Europe then was rich and flourishing. This mirror proclaims the exuberance and self-confidence of that era. It is a product of the Sitzendorf factory, a major competitor of the Meissen factories in Saxony. The pale blue and pink of the girandoles is very characteristic of that factory. It is profusely applied with polychrome flowers, leaves and cherubs. The size is perfect for a modern room
