Vintage Design
A unique and comfortable armchair from the early art deco period (1910-20’s) featuring a revolutionary design of the time: curved armrests and an adjustable (3 positions) backrest.
The armchair is strongly reminiscent of Josepf Hoffmann’s “Sitzmaschine” as well as Jindrich Halabala’s designs.
Probably manufactured by Thonet in Czechoslovakia.
The armchair has been completely restored using original methods, hand polished and reupholstered with a fine jacquard fabric in a pale duck egg blue colour.
