This antique tobacco jar or humidor is unsigned, but presumed to have originated from Austria and date to approximately 1900 and done in the period Black Forest style. This smoking ensemble is composed of likely Black Walnut and consists of a small ashtray and a tobacco jar. The humidor is decorated with a bear on the base, and another that functions as a handle on top of the jar’s lid.
