Very rare bentwood sofa Thonet No 1, manufactured in the 1960s by Thonet. Professionally restored, retaining beautiful old patina and some normal traces of wear. Cleaned and re-polished with shellack finish, seat with new cane.
This sofa is one of the first industrially produced pieces of furniture.
The original producers stamp is missing.
The wooden frame is made of beech wood and has a very elegant form.
The structure of the sofa is strong, without defects and it’s fully functional as intended.
