19th century hand painted oval German porcelain plaque KPM?
German porcelain plaque of the Vestal Virgin after the painting by Angelica Kauffman (Swiss 1741-1807). It depicts a young maiden dressed in a white gown, holding an oil lamp on her lap. The three-quarter profile miniature is of exceptional quality and extremely well executed. Original gold ornate decor frame and red velvet surround the oval porcelain painting. The reverse was not opened and was not checked for any marks. It is in perfect condition.
