19th century German Porcelain Plaque Queen Louise of Prussia
Hand painted rectangular porcelain plaque of Queen Louise of Prussia in half profile. After artist, Gustav Richter (1823-1884). She has a scarf wrapped around her head and a gold diadem with a star in her hair. It is painted in superb detail and beautiful colors. The back of the porcelain is stamped with a crest above FIRENZE, “Koenigin Louise nach Richter” in German handwriting. Condition is excellent. Elaborate gilt and gesso frame with black velvet matting.
