Beautiful antique display cabinet from the Biedermeier period around 1835.
The front of the piece of furniture is divided into two mock drawers in the lower part and two glazed and back mirrored compartments above.
The compartments, in turn, each consist of a large shelf behind the door rung and a recessed shelf on top of it. Perfect for presenting china, silver, glasses or other collections.
The usability as presentation furniture is optimized by the additional glazing on the side.
The furniture is veneered in walnut. As it was common in the Biedermeier period, the grain pattern is very symmetrical and mirrored. The key plates made of light maple contrast nicely with the walnut.
Condition refurbished ready for living. The surface is polished with shellac and the wood has a beautiful “depth”.
