19th century hand carved Black Forest dresser box made from Linden wood. The top is wonderfully carved with a central panel which has hand carved florals in the center, surrounded by assorted carvings and a molded edge. The base mirrors the top, and has a molded edge at the base. The top opens and a mirror is underneath and comes down to allow for the mirror to be propped up and used on a dresser, with storage space underneath. The original key is included, and the lock is functional.
