beautiful set of provincial french chairs with typical directoire decoration.
the round legs at the front end with two rosettes at the top, the curved square legs at the back merge into the elaborately designed backrest at the top.
in the upper crossbar, we see a field framed by corner compartments with an urn vase in a horizontal diamond. The openwork below shows an ornamentally framed star.

on the underside of the rear frame is a stamped signature j-e coryn.

a doubling of the frame construction can also be seen from below. The complete inner frame, including the corresponding corner spandrels, was added in an older restoration and reinforces the stability of the chairs.

condition:
refurbished condition. The wood has been cleaned and newly polished. The upholstery comes from an earlier restoration and is ready for a new upholstery fabric of your choice.

Set of 6 Baumann designer designer models by Pagnon and Pelhaitre. They are wenge and red in color revealing wood ribs. They are in very good condition. Solid and comfortable, clean with some very fine wear marks. They were manufactured in the 90s, not found on the market because produced in the last years of the Baumann firm and therefore produced on a small scale. Height 76.5 cm. Sitting height 45.5cm. Set of 2 very solid teak dining chairs by Louis van Teeffelen. Dutch classics in the typical modernist Danish / Skandi midcentury style of that era. Besides the Pelican chair and the modular wall unit this is probably one of the best known Webe designs.

Normal wear due to age, solid construction, no cracks. The fabric is clearly used, though not too bad – but this set can be a perfect base to create a set in your favorite color.
This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
