Remarkable Biedermeier Nutwood commode/ trumeau or sideboard artfully handcrafted in Austria, circa 1845. The great compact shaped body shows a fantasic walnut veneer with an outstanding grain, radiantly hand-polished with honey-shellac. Supported by unimposing, short legs, its clean and straight design contains a large drawer and a two-door front which impresses with its so-called “Pretzel” design. Both are lockable with the still original locks from 1845 and adorned by wonderful brass key blades. An outstanding piece of Biedermeier furniture which timeless design would fit perfectly to any kind of interior design.
